Each case needs a name or an MRN/Case ID so you can identify it in the report queue — if you prefer not to enter PHI, any label works (e.g., "Case 12"). You can also just dictate it ("MRN 448812") — it is captured automatically and removed from the text before upload. Patient information stays on this device and is never uploaded.
The sentences your laboratory says the same way on every transesophageal study. Each one can be reworded or dropped, and a new TEE can start with the routine answers already given. Anything the study actually records — a limited examination, a difficult insertion, a complication — is written out in place of the sentence, so a standing phrase can never contradict the study.
When your dictation and the guideline read a study differently, the app can bring it back to you or record what you said. Whatever you choose, the measurement always prints beside the wording — these settings change the question, never the report’s values.
